Terms of Service
Last updated: August 8, 2026
These terms govern your use of SAT Bot ("the Bot"), a Discord application that serves SAT-style practice questions. By adding the Bot to a Discord server, or by using any of its commands, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, remove the Bot and stop using it.
1. What the Bot is
The Bot posts multiple-choice practice questions in Discord, checks your answer, and shows an explanation. It also tracks how many questions you have answered correctly in each server so it can display statistics and a leaderboard.
The Bot is a free, non-commercial, personally maintained project. It is not a company, not a paid service, and carries no service-level guarantee.
2. Eligibility
You must meet Discord's own minimum age requirement to use the Bot, which is 13 in most countries and higher in some. Your use of Discord remains governed by the Discord Terms of Service. Nothing here overrides them.
To add the Bot to a server, you need Manage Server permission in that server. By adding it, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Bot or its hosting.
- Automate, script, or otherwise artificially inflate answers to manipulate statistics or leaderboards.
- Use the Bot to harass others, or in any way that breaks Discord's terms or the law.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract credentials from the Bot.
Leaderboards are meant to be a bit of fun between people in a server. Inflating your own score is not cheating anyone but yourself, but doing so at a volume that affects the service for others is a violation of these terms.
4. Accuracy of questions
The Bot is a study aid, not an authoritative source. Questions and explanations may contain errors. Do not rely on it as your only preparation, and verify anything that matters against official College Board materials.
SAT® is a trademark registered by the College Board. The College Board is not affiliated with this project, has not reviewed it, and does not endorse it.
5. Availability
The Bot is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It may go offline, lose data, change behaviour, or be discontinued at any time without notice. Stored statistics may be reset or lost, including as a result of maintenance, hosting changes, or error.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maintainer of the Bot is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Bot. This includes lost data, lost statistics, and any outcome connected to studying with the Bot, including exam results.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server. The maintainer may block any user or server from using the Bot, at any time, for any reason, including violations of these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The "last updated" date above will change when they are. Continuing to use the Bot after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to roongtaadvay@gmail.com.
